Job Title: Youth Worker
Salary: Circa £25,000
Hours: Full Time; 37.5 per week
Term: Fixed for three years (possible extension)
This post requires a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) Police check.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced youth worker to join our team at The Pump to lead on a new and exciting programme of youth work.
You will take the lead on developing youth participation and decision making at all levels of the project ensuring active and meaningful decision making across the organisation.
You will support the development an outreach programme that engages more ‘hard to reach’ young people, including those who are categorised as NEET, i.e. not in education, employment or training and increase the opening hours of our open access Youth provision.
In addition, you will help expand The Pump’s highly successful participatory arts and employability programmes and our accredited training to include ‘The Pump Lab’; a supported community-based makerspace, inspired by the FabLab (fabrication laboratory) model and an ‘incubator’ for ideas, workshops, seminars, projects and (social) enterprise.
